The Red Hot is a sparse, red Flash-a-bou pattern tied on an Daiichi 2553 red octopus hook (size 2, legal on "fly-fishing-only" waters) and a Red Gamakatsu Octopus hook (size 2/0, not legal on "fly-fishing-only" waters). It is a favorite especially for Kodiak Island salmon. Sockeye, pinks, kings, silvers, and chum all respond to this pattern.
