Nymph Patterns & Emergers

Just like in the Lower 48, nymph fishing is often more productive in Alaska fly fishing than dry fly fishing. The fish just spend more time on the bottom than on the top of the water. These are some of the best and hottest nymph patterns for Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, the Rocky Mountains, and everywhere else trout gather. Great patterns and top quality. Can't get any better than that. Stock up now!

B.H. Skwala Stonefly Nymph

B.H. Skwala Stonefly Nymph

The Skwala is an often overlooked species that is getting much more attention because it presents explosive fun early in the season. This early season stonefly (March-June), known as an "olive stone," is a major food source in many western streams, especially the Yakima (WA), Bitterroot (MT), Owhyee (ID), Bighorn (ID), Clark Fork (ID), and Rock Creek (ID). The nymph is fish-able all season. Few patterns imitate this species. Developed on the Yakima, this one is the best. Size: 10.
